Recipe: Fried qofte

Ingredients
250g minced beef steak
1 small onion
Large handful flatleaf parsley and mint
2 cloves garlic
1 egg
Olive oil
Black pepper and salt to season

Preparing the qofte.

1 Chop the onion as finely as possible and add to the minced meat. Chop the parsley and mint and crush the garlic.

2 Mix the onions, meat, herbs and garlic. Beat the egg and add it to the mixture. Season with a little black pepper and salt.

3 Form the mixture into small balls and flatten them to make patties.

 

 

4 Fry the patties 5 at a time in a little olive oil until well-cooked.

5 Put them in the oven to keep warm while you fry the remainder.

Enjoy! These are delicious served with mashed potato and feta cheese and salad.

Also try them with our side dish of peppers with feta.
