20 December 2006: 'Mix it up' Refugee Youth Christmas party
Approximately 200 young refugees of different nationalities got together at Forest Gate Youth Centre and took part in workshops on drama, dance (including capoiera), singing, DJ-ing, drumming, and arts-based activities such as T-shirt design and mask making.
Later on there was a demonstration of skills learned, including a stunning display of capoiera.
A cooked dinner followed and dancing 'til late.
