3 November 2005: AYA film showing with Company of Angels

On November 3 AYA shared a film presentation with Company of Angels held in Islington, London at The Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture.

One of the films, 'Building our Future', was made in 1998, with the National Theatre, the other, 'I am a Young Boy just like You', was a recent production made with Company of Angels. About 80 people attended the evening. Some of the young people who'd been involved in the first film answered questions after the showing.

Noel Malcolm, a prominent historian and academic, spoke warmly about our work and congratulated the young people on their outstanding achievements. Sheila Melzack, head of the child and adolescent therapy team at The Medical Foundation, also spoke. She outlined the work the Foundation undertakes with young refugees and talked about how the organisations have worked together over the years.

Here're some photos from the night.
