DRAMA

This year drama workshops take place every Friday at Pastures Youth Centre from 5pm – 7pm.

Last year, AYA ran a series of drama workshops with the company of angels, an experimental theatre company for young people. Various different aspects of drama were explored during the year, including storytelling and mime. At the end of the year we went on a residential trip for a week to Woodrow High House in Amersham to make a film. We were accompanied by the company of angels team of a film editor, choreographer, playwright and producer. The weather was very beautiful, and the young people had a wonderful time taking part in Woodrow’s activities, as well as working hard on the film: I am a Young Boy Just Like You.

Two theatre productions were performed at the AYA premises: the very successful Hannah and Hanna (by John Retallack of company of angels), and Shakespeare’s Pericles performed by LIFT, both followed by workshops to discuss the plays. We also made visits to the theatre to see Les Miserables, and to Kat and the Kings, as guests of Bloomberg, visits to the cinema throughout the year. We hope to run a further drama project this year, and will keep you informed about developments.

Vitin e kaluar, ‘AYA’ zhvilloi një seri workshope të dramës në bashkëpunim me ‘Compani of Angels’ një kompani teatrore eksperimentale për të rinj. Përgjatë vitit u trajtuan aspekte të ndryshme të dramës, duke përfshirë tregimin dhe imitimet. Në fund të vitit ne shkuam për një javë në Woodrow High House në Amersham për të regjisuar një film. Atje u shoqëruam nga ‘Compani of Angles’ dhe grupi i tyre për prodhimin e filmit, një koreograf, autori dhe producenti. Koha ishte e bukur dhe të rinjtë kaluan një kohë të mrekullueshme duke marrur pjesë në aktivitetet e Woodrow High House ashtu sikurse edhe punuan pa u lodhur me filmin: Unë jam një djalë i ri ashtu sikurse edhe ti.

Ne ambientet e AYA u shfaqën 2 realizime teatrore. Shumë e suksesshme Hannah dhe Hanna (nga John Retallack i Compani of Angles), dhe Pericles e Shekspirit e shfaqur nga LIFT, të dyja të ndjekura nga workshope për të diskutuar lojën. Ne gjithashtu bëmë vizita në teatër për të parë Les Miserables dhe tek Kat and the Kings, si të ftuar të Bloomberg. Poashtu kemi realizuar edhe disa vizita në kinema përgjatë vitit.

Ne shpresojmë të organizojmë projekte të tjera këtë vit, për të cilat do të informojmë gjatë zhvillimeve.
