Summer schools project to Kosova June 2005

This year Albanian Youth Action sent three volunteer teachers
to Prishtina in Kosova to run a week’s summer school with
school children aged thirteen to sixteen. The school
experiences a high level of deprivation and overcrowding. The
children benefited enormously from the extra attention from
visitors from another country, as well as the advantage of
being taught English by native speakers. Find out more...

On a gloriously sunny day in October, St Peter’s Square was packed with thousands of people from around the world who had come to witness the honouring of Mother Teresa and her work.
